These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Career Catalyst Club (“CCC,” “the club,” “we,” “us”) website at careercatalystclub.in (“the Site”), operated for students of Goel Institute of Technology & Management (GITM), Lucknow. By creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

CCC is a student club, not a commercial service. Nothing on the Site constitutes a contract of employment, admission, or academic credit with GITM or any other institution.

Accounts are intended for currently enrolled GITM students, faculty, and club staff. You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us right away at catalystclubcareer@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with a Google account through Google’s OAuth service. Either way, Supabase Auth (our authentication provider) issues and manages your session. We never see or store your Google password, and if you use email/password sign-in, your password is hashed by Supabase before it is stored — nobody at CCC, including club administrators, can read it.

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent your affiliation with CCC or GITM;
• Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through the contact form, event registrations, or any other input on the Site;
• Attempt to bypass authentication, access another user’s account or data, or probe, scan, or test the Site’s security without written authorization;
• Upload malicious files, attempt to overwhelm the Site with automated requests, or interfere with its normal operation;
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download Site content without permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, remove content, or restrict access to the Site at our discretion.

Registering for an event through the Site reserves you a seat subject to the event’s stated capacity, status, and venue. Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and may be closed, cancelled, or moved to a waitlist by club administrators if an event changes or is cancelled.

Some events may involve a paid or in-person registration process coordinated directly with the club rather than through the Site. The Site itself does not process payments or store payment information.

Messages sent through the contact form, and any information you add to your profile, are provided voluntarily and may be reviewed by authorized club administrators to respond to your request or manage club operations. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant CCC a license to use, store, and display it as reasonably necessary to operate the Site and run club activities (for example, displaying event photos in the public gallery).

Photos taken at CCC events may be uploaded to the public gallery on this Site as part of documenting club activities. If you attend a club event, your image may appear in event photography. If you would like a specific photo removed, contact us at catalystclubcareer@gmail.com and we will review the request.

The CCC name, logo, and original Site content are the property of Career Catalyst Club. You may not use them to imply endorsement or official affiliation without written permission from the Club President or Faculty Mentor, consistent with the club’s social media and branding policies.

The Site relies on third-party infrastructure to operate: Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Google for optional OAuth sign-in; Cloudflare Turnstile to verify you’re not a bot on sensitive forms; and Vercel for hosting and anonymized performance analytics. Your use of these integrated services is also subject to each provider’s own terms. See our Privacy Policy for details on what each service processes.

The Site is provided “as is” on a best-effort basis by a student-run club. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that event information is always current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCC and its student administrators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

We may update these Terms as the Site and club operations evolve. Material changes will update the “last updated” date below. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
